Greetings from Home & School,
As I write each newsletter, it always hits me how quickly the year is flying by. It seems as if I was just writing about our fall yard sale or Christmas activities and here we are in March! I don’t know about you, but I’m so thankful that Spring is right around the corner. Spring is such a wonderful showcase of so many of God’s beautiful creations.
The children had a great field trip to the Oconee Nuclear Plant in January. Our guide did a fabulous job explaining the process of creating electricity. It was educational and informative for kids and adults alike.
February was an exciting month for the children. It started on the 1st with bring your pet day. This is always a big hit! The children absolutely love bringing their pet(s) to meet their school friends. It’s a joy for me to hear the stories of who brought which type of pet and how cute they are (and of course Isaiah and Silas try to convince Jason and I that we need more animals).
On February 14, Jill and Cherie were kind enough to provide the children with a wonderful Valentine’s party. Following that, the children visited our shut-ins. What a wonderful surprise to those who are no longer able to get out and about.
The organic walnuts sold beautifully; we are sold out! Thanks to each of you that made a purchase to help support our school.
It is almost time for our science fair! The children put a lot of time and effort into their project. They have chosen some really neat topics that I look forward to learning more about. If you are able to attend, it is going to be on March 22 at 6:30pm. We would love to see you all there.
Spring break is scheduled for March 5-March 12. I hope that you all have a wonderful break and come back to school refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to learn!
As I have said before, I love our little school. I love the bond between our students. It warms my heart to hear one of my boys praying for one of their school friends. What a blessing it is to know that not only are our children receiving a quality education, but more importantly they’re developing and strengthening their relationship with the Lord.
May the Lord bless and keep each of you.
