.

Greetings from Home & School!

Can you believe that we are into a new year?  Wow, how time flies!  I hope that each of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.  As for our family, it was very enjoyable.  It was so nice to spend time with the boys on their Christmas break and see family that we don’t see nearly often enough.

Things are really moving along in our school.  Per Celene, the fruit fundraiser raised over $900.00!  That is truly amazing.  Celene did such a wonderful job organizing all of it (and it is a big job!).  Also, the children really did a wonderful job promoting and selling the fruit.  A big thanks to all who made it a success!  Celene provided the school children with a pizza party for all of their hard work.  I think she deserves a pizza party of her own!

If any of you have any ideas for fundraisers for this spring, I would love to hear them.  I know many of you have been involved in organizing fundraisers in the past and I’m sure you would have some great suggestions.

As you have noticed, the painting is almost finished in our “new” classroom area.  It has brightened the space tremendously!  Thank you, thank you, thank you Elmer and Jason for all of your hard work!

Open House is planned for this Thursday, January 19, at 6:00.  It is my understanding that the upcoming Science Fair will be discussed among other things.  This will be a potluck dinner, so please plan to bring a dish.

Mrs. Harward and Mrs. Kim have a field trip planned for Thursday, January 26th to Oconee Nuclear Plant.  I’m sure this will be a very informative and fun trip for the children.  I know the children really look forward to these adventures!

What a blessing it is for my boys to be a part of this school.  It brings me such joy to know that all of our children go to school each day where they worship the Lord.  It is such a good feeling to be at school as they share their prayer requests and pray for one another.  How powerful it is to pray together and especially to hear the earnest prayer of a child.

May the Lord bless and keep each of you.

Sincerely,
